    I wanted to build my own electric bike, it had to be fast, have a big autonomy and hydraulic disc brakes.
    As I own some bikes, I choose my Trek Fuel EX6 to host this electric kit since I think the suspension helps to have a better adherence.
    As I searched for the best option, I faced some problems (like in any project), the main problems were solved when I found a store which explains quite well the aspects to consider when building such a bike.
    Then I though I might make a tutorial to detail the aspects that I didn’t find in this store, so there it is.
    The store I am talking about is https://em3ev.com/store/ I have no relation and get no advantages by recommanding it, I think they are very professionnal as they’ll review your order, make suggestions, read and even answer to your emails and that even after you paid.
    The only cons is the time they take to ship the order (2 and a half week), this is explained because they arrange all the connexions so that it is plug and play when you get the kit, no solder, no need to understand all the cables coming from the controler.
    The e-bike you see in my video is a Mac 500/1000W Pick’n'Mix Kit with a 8T motor and a 9 fet controller. The battery is a 16S LiFePo of 20Ah.
    The cruize speed on flat is above 40 km/h and the range is 50km (31 miles) riding at full speed.
    To get the battery level I’ll use a small voltmeter bought on ebay as it is way cheaper than a complete control screen (you don’t see it in the video).
    The total price is a bit less than 1500€ (1900$) including shipping, customs and bike modifications (the price doesn’t include the bike), this price can be lowered a lot if you don’t take such a huge battery.
    The extra weight is about 12kg (again, the battery alone is so huge that it weights almost 9kg)
